Meet the Team

Matt and Ashleigh previously worked together for 7 years at a water engineering consultancy in Brisbane. During this time, they worked closely on dozens of projects across Australia, on all aspects of water engineering and management.

In 2023, Matt and Ashleigh made the decision to team up as business partners, and start their own water engineering consultancy business.


  • Director | Principal Water Engineer

    Matt has over 23 years’ experience in the water industry, and has applied his skills in hydrology, hydraulic design, water-quality assessment and detailed design on mining, local government and land development projects.

    Matt specialises in surface water assessments for mine-related environmental impact assessments, final void modelling, operational water management studies and preparation of water management documentation. In addition, he has undertaken to a wide range of hydraulic design projects, including creek diversions, dam design, water harvesting, and flood protection works.

    Matthew co-authored three technical papers relating to leading practice modelling of residual mine void for rehabilitation planning. These technical papers were prepared on behalf of the Queensland Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner.


  • Director | Senior Water Engineer

    Ashleigh has been involved in the engineering industry since 2016 and graduated as an environmental engineer with first class honours from Griffith University in 2017.

    Ashleigh has been involved in a range of different surface water related projects for clients across Australia. She has gained experience in mine site water management, flooding assessments, approvals and infrastructure design.

    Ashleigh has experience in the use and development of water balance models (i.e. Goldsim and OPSIM) as well as hydrological/hydraulic models (i.e. TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, URBS, XP-RAFTS, MUSIC and FLIKE). She also has experience in design with 3D modelling in 12D and GIS software such as MapInfo and QGIS.
